K-W WALKING TOURS
Friday Apr 23rd, 2021Share
It’s a bit difficult to travel these days so now’s the perfect time to get out and explore our amazing city!
One of the best ways to discover some of the hidden treasures that K-W has to offer is to take a self-guided walking tour as they’re a great way to learn about our area while enjoying some fresh spring air and exercise!
The City of Kitchener has designed a variety of self-guided walking tours that cover areas such as Downtown Kitchener, Mount Hope Cemetery and four different heritage districts.
There are also public art tours that will take you through Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge where you can reflect on the history, creativity and passion for the arts in Waterloo Region.
Finally, the Waterloo Public Library offers self-guided tours so that you can walk back in time at your own pace through Uptown Waterloo and the historic Mary-Allen neighbourhood.
If the warmer weather has you dreaming of summer by the lake, you’ll be happy to know that the Cottage Life & Outdoor Living Show is back! It’s presented in a virtual format this year but you can still shop and get advice on anything and everything that has to do with cottage life!
They’ll be three days of presentations that run between March 26th - 28th on a variety of topics such as DIY projects, real estate, tasty food ideas, outdoor living and more and the best part is, this year it’s free and you don’t have to worry about traffic or parking!
As much as we love K-W, it’s safe to say that most of us would like to spread our wings and travel abroad. One way to indulge your wanderlust is to take a virtual city tour so that you can experience the bright lights, beaches, history and architecture from incredible places such as Venice, St. Petersburg, New York City and Dubai!
